Jean Skirt
So yesterday I was really bored and wanted something to do... not that I don't have a ton of stuff I can do but I wanted to do something fun!!! Sick of Dishes and Laundry and being responsible I wanted to do something creative and enjoyable. I was getting Laundry out of the dryer and noticed that Hannah's Jeans had holes in them so I thought I would spruce them up and try to create something fun out of them. I have been thinking of making some skirts for Hannah since her super nice friend gave her a really cute homemade skirt for Christmas (Shout out to Ester and her awesome sewing skills!!). That is where it all began... the creation process in motion. I had some really cute scraps that I just picked up from Jo-Ann's just waiting to be used and my brand new pair of Gingher Fabric Scissors to break-in. So off I went cutting and sewing and ironing and sewing and cutting and here is the finished product!!!
I think I am going to do this to all of her fabulous "Holy" kneed pants from now on. Maybe I could even do this to the pants that still fit her around the waist but are getting too short for her! And that my friends is how you "Make do with what you got"!!! P.S. Note her cute new boots I bought on sale at K-Mart last night that really compliment my little "Fashionista's" new outfit!!
